Paço de Tentúgal
The future of slow tourism
Paço de Tentúgal is a 14th Century palace in rural Portugal, originally built for a prince and over time becoming the cultural heart of the local community. We worked on an in-depth design strategy for transforming it into a progressive wellbeing retreat geared towards slow tourism, encouraging deep immersion in the local landscape, culture and gastronomy.
Starting with an exploration of audience insights and the evolving world of wellbeing travel, we helped develop the brand narrative and programming strategy, as well as space planning and design direction for the proposed restaurants, rooms and event spaces across the site. This came together into a comprehensive deck to bring the concept to life for potential investors.
